"It puts Nashville in a class with some top-tier cities," Memphis-based hotel industry consultant Chuck Pinkowski said about such Luxury Collection hotels typically being planned for high-profile markets with an international flair.
Pizzuti Cos. is developing The Joseph Nashville, part of The Luxury Collection, now a Marriott International Inc. brand
The 21st floor of the hotel will feature a luxury spa, fitness center, pool deck and contemporary bar. Towering more than 200 feet in the air, the entire rooftop will have unobstructed views of the Nashville skyline and Cumberland River.
We are thrilled to welcome The Joseph to Nashville and excited about our partnership with them,” said Charles Starks, President/CEO of the Music City Center.
The Joseph will be part of Marriott’s high-end The Luxury Collection brand. A similar Pizzuti Cos. hotel in Columbus (now two years old and a part of Marriott’s Le Meridien brand) in operation, will serve as a model of sorts. Architectural Digest in late 2014 placed the hotel, also called The Joseph, on its “11 of the Best New Hotels Around the World” list.
We’re very proud of the Ohio art program,” he said. “Not only has it been well received at the hotel, we’ve discovered some really, really talented artists. We will take the same concept to Nashville and incorporate original works of art by Tennessee artists.
Columbus, Ohio, recently hit it big with the opening of the Joseph, a new art-centric hotel from the brand Le Méridien and local art collectors Ron and Ann Pizzuti. Miami-based firm Arquitectonica designed the property, which is located in the city’s Short North Arts District.
